Visitation Ministry

GSLC conducts a quiet but very meaningful visitation ministry. This includes a team of communion visitors who take communion to some of our homebound members, Stephen Ministers who meet regularly with care receivers, our parish nurse who visits members in hospital, at home, and in other care facilities, and staff who visit youth and families and other members on a regular basis. I also visit dozens of members of our congregation monthly for all of these reasons, as well as getting out to see you in your places of work, your schools, and more.

In the Christian imagination, this is the way we extend our worship and ecclesial life out to those who cannot physically attend Sunday worship. The body and blood of Christ travels from our church out to homes and care facilities, in that way uniting those who are far off with those who are near, all together in the one body.

This ministry is highlighted for two reasons.

If you would like to include homebound members in your prayers, please request a list of our homebound members from the church office, gslc@goodshepherdnwa.orgĀ
