The custom of commemorating all of the saints of the church on a single day goes back at least to the third century. All Saints Sunday celebrates the baptized people of God, living and dead, who make up the body of Christ. We remember all who have died in the faith and now serve God around the heavenly throne.
During today’s services, we will include in our prayers members of our congregation who have died during the past year. If you have additional friends, family, or other beloved such as pets, you can submit their names to the church office for inclusion in the naming of the saints.
