Social Ministry (SM) Committee Information:
The Social Ministry Committee thanks the Milk & Juice Group for their important contributions to our social ministry outreach.
The SMC thanks Sara Cooper and Leslie Harvey for their work at jump staring our kid friendly summer food drive! Look to hear more from Sara and Leslie as the summer progresses! Thanks to SMC members Shana Kasparek and Pam Stockland for preparing bulltein copy and working through logistics for both the kid friendly CEO drive and the Christmas in July benefit for our elder angels.
The SMC will continue with Christmas in July for our Elder Angels, in a modified version that does not conflict with the CEO kid-friendly food drive that we will ini-tiate through a bulltein announcement on June 17. On June 17, look for our bulleting announcement with a recommended list of donations distributed to in-dividual mail boxes. Also, look at your calendars for mid-July and see if you have room for a Gold Angel Delivery! Those who delivered Christmas items to our Gold Angels were blessed.
SUMMER AT CEO With summer quickly approaching, the need for kid-friendly foods and family items at CEO will be increasing! Please take the following list with you a few times over the summer or keep the list in your car so when you go to the grocery you can remember to pick up all or some of the items on the list, bring them to church and place them in the bin provided. Our Good Shep-herd members who volunteer at CEO weekly will make sure the items get there. Keep your receipts—your gifts are tax-deductible.. . .THANK YOU.
