Welcome to worship!
GSLC embraces people of all identities, backgrounds, and experiences. If you’ve been hurt or excluded by a church before, you will not be singled out, pressured, or judged. You are truly welcome here.
Worship is central to life at GSLC. We gather every Sunday at 10 a.m. for a service lasting about an hour and 15 minutes. Free parking is available, with access to the sanctuary from the Sanctuary Entrance (off Rolling Hills Dr.) or the Offices Entrance (off Old Missouri). Find directions here. Dress is casual.
What to expect
Worship follows a fixed Order: Gathering, Sharing of the Peace, Readings, Sermon, Communion, and Sending. To follow from your own device, scan the QR code outside the sanctuary doors, or watch the slides projected at the front. Participate as much as you feel comfortable; sing, pray, and respond, or simply observe.

Music
The GSLC band and piano lead songs and hymns, blending contemporary and traditional styles. Services also include sung liturgy and seasonal contributions from the choir and special musicians.
Sharing the peace
This time in worship is for introductions and brief check-ins with one another. You’re encouraged to take part, yet your comfort is always honored. A quiet word of peace is enough, and it’s also fine to step aside until this part concludes.
Communion
At GSLC, all are welcome to the table—no exceptions. Communion is celebrated each week with gluten-free bread and grape juice so that everyone can receive without hesitation. Directions will be clear, and you’ll be invited forward at the right time. Whether this practice is familiar or completely new, you are welcome to participate fully or remain seated if that feels right.
Children in Worship
Children are always welcome in worship, just as they are; their voices, questions, and energy enrich our common life, and their presence is a gift to the whole community. During the readings and sermon, children are invited to Children’s Church, where they gather for age-appropriate activities and learning. They return in time for communion, often running forward to help serve—a joyful sign of belonging that reflects the spirit of GSLC.
