Liturgy
GSLC follows a fixed order of worship that includes the Gathering, Readings (the Revised Common Lectionary), a sermon, Communion, and a Sending.
Find a sample order here.
Music
The GSLC Band and piano accompany sung liturgy, hymns, and songs.
Practices
LGBTQIA+ folks often lead worship.
Children help serve Communion (using gluten-free bread and juice).
At the close of worship, the congregation is invited to participate in Community Conversations—a brief, informal time of personal reflection and shared dialogue. These small group discussions draw on themes from the service, offering space to listen, speak, and connect with others in meaningful ways. Participation is entirely optional. Those who find this kind of interaction uncomfortable are welcome to step away without hesitation. Still, these conversations are a vital part of how community is built and deepened at GSLC, and all are encouraged to remain if willing.
