Ash Wednesday
Service
February 18 | 7a
Gather at the start of the day to receive the sign of the cross and ashes, carried into daily life as a quiet witness to life’s fragility and the call to repentance. Coffee and a continental breakfast will be available before and after the service.
Sunday Suppers
February 22
Shifts 10a to 5p
Arkansas is the hungriest state in the nation. Sunday Suppers responds by preparing and sharing meals every fourth Sunday with neighbors facing food insecurity in our community.
Choir Practice
Wednesdays at 6p
Beginning February 25
Under its new director Wesley Fox, the GSLC Choir gathers for rehearsal on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. Those who have sung for years, those returning after time away, and those considering choir for the first time are invited.
Midweek Compline offers a quiet close to the day during the Lenten season. Amid the noise and burdens that often press upon our days, the assembly gathers for prayer, scripture, and silence, entrusting the night to God and resting in mercy that does not fail.
Lenten Compline
Sanctuary | 7:30p
Wednesdays through Lent
New Member Gatherings
Fellowship Hall | 11:30a
Sundays through Lent
Lent is a fitting season to consider what faith might mean for your life. Created for those new to GSLC, the new member process provides intentional formation through Christian practices in community. No belief is ever required. Only honest questions, openness to learning, and a desire for a life shared with others.
Blood Drive
Alton Center
February 27 | 12 to 3p
Over 500 blood drives have been canceled since the beginning of the year, causing more than 20,000 blood and platelet donations to go uncollected. Helping to rebuild the supply is a tangible way to love your neighbor this month.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church acknowledges that Indigenous peoples were forced to leave their ancestral lands, including the Osage, Caddo and Quapaw Nations with ties to Northwest Arkansas. We further recognize that a portion of the Trail of Tears runs near our church facilities, and that the Cherokee, Choctaw, Muscogee (Creek), Chickasaw and Seminole Nations passed through what is now Arkansas during this forced removal. We acknowledge all Indigenous teachers, researchers and residents in our community and region today.
